The policy manual of the Edmonton Police Commission (Commission) outlines the authority in carrying out their duties in accordance with legislation, regulations, standards, written policy, and procedures.
Guidelines:
- The Commission’s policy manual compiles all policies, procedures, and guidelines into one document.
- The Commission’s policy manual shall contain, at a minimum, the policies and procedures that addresses provincial oversight standards for municipal police commissions and their prescribed sections.
- Notice of amendments to any portion of the document are provided as they occur for the Commission to approve.
- All Commission policies will be made public through the Commission’s website.
- Enquiries concerning the contents of the manual or its use and/or interpretation may be referred to the Commission’s Executive Director.
