The Edmonton Police Commission has reprofiled its February 20, 2025 public meeting to focus on training and teambuilding for commissioners.
“With half our board being new commissioners, it is important to get everyone up to speed on police governance and work towards building a strong and cohesive team.”
– Ben Henderson, Chair of the Edmonton Police Commission
In lieu of the public meeting, the Commission has hired renowned and respected municipal expert and facilitator George Cuff to lead a training session for commissioners.
“We regularly conduct additional business on the public meeting days that are in private, so this really was the best day to get everyone together. It’s important that we are able to hold this session when all commissioners can participate.”
– Chair Henderson
The next public meeting will be held on March 20, 2025. Until then, the Commission looks forward to honing its expertise in police governance for the benefit of all Edmontonians.
